Comfort Before Sleeping

Enough.  Lie still.  Take your rest.

You have strived to know the unfathomable

and to express the ineffable.

Know now the stricture of your mind

and take comfort in this truth:

though ignorant, you yet may seek,

though unapprehending, you yet may ask,

though inerudite, you yet may pursue,

until finding that you do not know the answers,

you at least may know the questions.
